The General Spanish language courses at our school in Valencia are perfect for those want to use the language and are taking the first steps to learn it, or for those want to improve on what they already know in all areas of the language. The courses focus on four main skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The school attaches great importance to ensuring that all the participants have the opportunity to speak as much Spanish as possible, and so improve their communication skills. Classes have a maximum of 10 participants in each group and there are two General courses to choose from:
The Standard Spanish course is aimed at those who want a balance of classes and free time. The courses consist of 20 lessons of 50 minutes each per week. Those who have prior knowledge of Spanish can begin a course on any Monday. There is a choice of two or three start dates in each month for absolute beginners. In general, the lessons take place in the mornings. When there is a high volume of bookings, the classes are on alternate mornings and afternoons (for example, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons), so that participants have either the morning or the afternoon free for other leisure activities.
The Intensive Spanish Course is aimed at those who want to learn as much as possible in a short time. This course consists of 30 lessons, each of 50 minutes, and still plenty of free time. The lessons usually take between about 9am and 3pm. In times of high booking volumes there are days with afternoon classes, where the morning is for leisure activities and the teaching begins at about 1.30pm and ends at 7pm.
In addition to the Standard and Intensive courses you can choose to take additional individual 1:1 lessons to make your study more intense. You can choose the content of these lessons according to your needs and requirements.
The attractive weekly program is included in the price of your course and the program offers: Intercultural Exchange or Tapas Tour (Mondays), Sight Seeing Tour and Welcome Paella Party (Tuesdays), Spanish cookery lessons (Wednesday), and the Spanish Culture Hour (Thursdays).
