DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Français) is currently the only certification for French as a foreign language that has been accredited by the French Ministry of Education. More than 150 countries recognise this exam and its importance in government agencies and companies are increasing steadily. In accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, DELF A1, DELF A2, DELF B1 and DELF B2 diplomas are offered. Each of these exams checks listening comprehension and oral expression as well as reading comprehension and written expression for the requested ability level.
DELF preparation courses are completely attuned to the contents of the exam. The curriculum trains grammar, vocabulary, the quality of oral and written expression as well as French culture and civilization. In addition to exam preparation, this course will also teach you comprehensive French language skills as well as country-specific information. The course is a combination of standard language classes in the mornings and special exam preparation in the afternoons through private coaching.
All in all, the course comprises 26 lessons (45 minutes each) per week. One hour should be set aside each day for preparation and exercises in addition to regular classes. The course is intended to last for 4 weeks and is scheduled for multiple times a year on specific dates. More information can be found here. On request, individual course lengths can be accommodated. Exams are usually taken in France on the last day of class.
