If your A-level exams are approaching and you’d like to improve your French skills to that end, the special A-level preparation courses of our affiliate school in Nice are the ideal solution!
A-level preparation courses take place during the Easter and summer holidays and can be attended for one (Easter) or two (summer) weeks. These courses comprise 30 weekly lessons (45 minutes each). Courses are scheduled from 9 am to 10.40 am and 11 am to 12.20 pm from Monday to Friday. Additional classes are held on three afternoons per week from 1.15 pm to 3.45 pm. In the mornings, tuition will focus on grammar and practical language skills.
Each student will present the works of a famous French novelist of his choice to the class. Afternoon classes will focus on techniques for creating CVs and textual analyses. These subjects also define the homework assignments that you’ll have to hand in. The instructors will correct them and advise you as to how you can improve your weaknesses. On the last day of class, students will be able to take a real exam in order to gauge their progress. One to two hours each day should be set aside for preparation and exercises in addition to regular classes. All texts used during class are relevant to French literature and civilization.
The A-level preparation course requires the abilities of 4 to 6 years of high school French. Tuition will be held in small groups of 4 to 10 participants. Enjoy your trip to France!
